Action on Smoking and Health (ASH) is hosting the 2nd U.S. Tobacco Endgame Summit in Chicago, Illinois. This all-day event is an ancillary meeting with the National Conference on Tobacco or Health (NCTOH), which is August 26 – 28, 2025 at the same hotel. The cost to register will cover your lunch at the Summit.
Over the past five years, the concept of tobacco “endgame,” or phasing out the sale of commercial tobacco products, has developed from a fringe idea to a global movement. The number of jurisdictions with endgame laws in place more than tripled in 2024, and 2025 has already demonstrated sustained momentum. As of the end of April 2025, roughly 700,000 people are covered by endgame laws. It is likely this number will increase more than 100-fold in 2025 as the Maldives, South Australia and the United Kingdom adopt endgame policies.
The U.S. Summit will bring together local, national, and global endgame thought leaders from academia, government, intergovernmental agencies and civil society.
