While cigarette use has been declining for decades, other tobacco product use is rising. Cigarillo use has increased significantly among youth and young adults, and among the Black population. This emerging trend presents new public health problems, especially since these products are often confused with other combustible tobacco products, such as cigars.
In this webinar, NACCHO and FDA’s Center for Tobacco Products will establish the difference between cigarillos and cigars, provide an update on the growing trends in cigarillo use, determine what resources are available to address cigarillos, and discuss what local health departments can do to address cigarillo use in their communities.
