Dr. Alma S. Adams Scholarships for outreach and health communications to reduce tobacco use among priority populations – Legacy. The scholarship, named for founding Legacy board member Dr. Alma S. Adams, will award two $5,000 scholarships to pursue undergraduate or graduate studies at an accredited institution of higher education in the United States. Applications will be accepted until April 30, 2014.

Unsung Heroes' Award – American Lung Association and C. Everett Koop Institute. Nominations are being accepted for the Unsung Heroes’ Award, which celebrates the heroes that make a tobacco-free future possible. All materials must be submitted no later than April 30, 2014.
