Call for applications: 2014 Youth Advocate of the Year (YAYA) Awards – Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids. These awards honor young people who have taken the lead in fighting tobacco in their communities and in their state over the past year. In addition to receiving scholarships and grants, YAYA winners serve as spokespersons for tobacco control and work closely with TFK staff on policy priorities at the local, state, and national levels. Applications must be submitted online; deadline EXTENDED to February 7, 2014.

Call for nominations: Benjamin Chu Integration Award – American Legacy Foundation. The purpose of the Integration award is to recognize a health care delivery system for its outstanding accomplishments in addressing tobacco use and dependence in its practice as evidenced by positive outcomes. A $10,000 prize will accompany the award. Nominations for professionals working in the United States in public or private healthcare delivery systems and their partners can be submitted on the Legacy website. The deadline for submission is February 7, 2014.
