Tobacco use prevention - State public health approaches for ensuring quitline capacity

Prevention Research Centers Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Research Centers – financed in part by 2012 Prevention and Public Health Funds
The Prevention Research Center (PRC) Program is a network of academic research centers that partner with underserved communities, state and local health departments, national agencies, tribal governments, schools, and community-based organizations to implement, evaluate, and disseminate innovative and cost-effective public health interventions. The partnerships facilitate translation of promising research findings into new policies as well as practical and effective programs. Tribal Public Health Capacity Building and Quality Improvement
CDC's Tribal Support Unit announces the availability of funds to strengthen and improve the infrastructure and performance of tribal public health agencies and tribal health systems through capacity building and quality improvement. Public health law research: Making the case for laws that improve health
Public Health Law Research: Making the Case for Laws That Improve Health (PHLR) is a national program of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. The program seeks to build the evidence for and strengthen the use of regulatory, legal and policy solutions to improve public health. PHLR is equally interested in identifying and ameliorating laws and legal practices that unintentionally harm health. Total awards will include up to18-month awards of up to $150,000 for short term studies. $1 million will be available under this call for proposals. Consortium of National Networks to Impact Populations Experiencing Tobacco-Related and Cancer Health Disparities
CDC’s Office on Smoking and Health (OSH) and the Division of Cancer Prevention and Control (DCPC) are working together in this collaborative Funding Opportunity Announcement to support a consortium of national networks to advance commercial tobacco use prevention and cancer prevention in populations experiencing tobacco-related and cancer health disparities.
