The Health Education Council’s Break Free Alliance has announced the 2014 Promising Practices to Promote Tobacco–Free Active Living and Healthy Eating in Low Socioeconomic Status Communities Conference. The conference is practice-based, and aims to bring together a broad range of participants who are invested in creating and sustaining health equity and healthy communities. The principal goal of this conference is to promote change at policy, systems and environmental levels to improve the health of low SES populations. The deadline for abstracts and scholarship applications has been extended to July 31, 2013 at midnight Pacific Time.
