Dr. Alma S. Adams Scholarship
Legacy is accepting applications for the Dr. Alma Adams Scholarship for Outreach and Health Communications to Reduce Tobacco Use among Priority Populations. Applications will be accepted from high school, undergraduate, or graduate students through April 30, 2013. FDA Announcements

FDA requests comments and scientific evidence on proposed rule: Smokeless Tobacco Product Warning Statements
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is establishing a public docket to obtain comments, supported by scientific evidence, regarding what changes to the smokeless tobacco product warnings would promote greater public understanding of the risks associated with the use of smokeless tobacco products. The deadline for comments is April 1, 2013.

FDA publishes Unified Agenda of Regulations
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration recently published its latest Unified Agenda of Federal Regulatory and Deregulatory Actions. The Unified Agenda is published twice a year and contains a listing of FDA’s priorities and expected rulemaking activities for the coming year. The current Unified Agenda includes several proposed rules pertaining to tobacco and a summary of tobacco-related activities that were recently completed. Click here to view the Unified Agenda.
