Call for nominations: Youth Advocates of the Year Awards – The Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids. The annual Youth Advocates of the Year Awards honor top young leaders in the fight against tobacco — individuals who have advocated for tobacco prevention policies, taken on the tobacco industry and its deceptive marketing and helped keep peers tobacco-free. For the first time, this year’s application process is entirely online. Click here for the individual application form and here for the group application form.

Call for nominations: Benjamin Chu Awards – American Legacy Foundation. The purpose of the Integration award is to recognize a health care delivery system for its outstanding accomplishments in addressing tobacco use and dependence in its practice as evidenced by positive outcomes. The purpose of the Breakthrough award is to recognize an individual or team of individuals who were most responsible for a significant or sudden advance in tobacco use and dependence based on a development or achievement in research, policy or systems that resulted in dramatic progress over the status quo. Nominations can be submitted online by February 7, 2014.
