Deadline extended: Looking for real people to appear in ad campaign about the health effects of smoking cigarettes
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Office on Smoking and Health is recruiting individuals to feature in the next wave of CDC’s national tobacco education campaign. The 2014 campaign will be similar to the recent Tips from Former Smokers ads, and will feature real people who have suffered several health effects due to smoking. The CDC is recruiting people who have or have had colorectal cancer, periodontal diseases, or HIV, as well as women who are ex-smokers and have experienced a heart attack or lung cancer, smoked during their pregnancy and had experienced health complications as a result. Recruitment for the next Tips From Former Smokers campaign has been extended through October 21, 2013.
