Call for Proposals: County Health Rankings and Roadmaps Program
The County Health Roadmaps project includes several efforts to, using the County Health Rankings model, support local communities, national partners and leaders across all sectors to improve health. This second call for proposals of the Roadmaps to Health Community Grants will support collaborations of partners implementing policy or system changes to address one of the social or economic factors that, as defined by the County Health Rankings, most strongly influence health outcomes in their community. These include: education; employment and income; family and social support; and community safety. Up to 20 grants of up to $200,000 each will be awarded through this solicitation. Call for Applications: "Million Hearts" social marketing programs
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is accepting applications for the Wellness Initiative’s “Million Hearts” social marketing program awards for peer run/recovery community organizations. This program will provide twenty awards of $15,000 each to enable organizations to conduct community-based social marketing activities increasing awareness about the importance of heart health. These efforts include information and activities to prevent heart disease and stroke (including smoking cessation initiatives) among adults with behavioral health challenges, as well as promote the long-term goal of helping them to achieve an overall state of wellness. AAP Julius B. Richmond Visiting Lectureship Program
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Julius B. Richmond Visiting Lectureship Program provides awards of up to $3,000 each to fund two-day educational programs focusing on the field of tobacco control and child health. The lectureships are designed to promote secondhand smoke (SHS) exposure control and to integrate SHS prevention activities in pediatric education in AAP Chapters and educational institutions in the U.S. and abroad.
