Request for Applications: Innovation Advisors Program
The Innovation Center within the Center for Medicare and Medicaid seeks to deepen the capacity for transformation by creating a network of experts in improving the delivery system for Medicare, Medicaid and CHIP beneficiaries. Innovation advisors will work with the Innovation Center to test new models of care delivery in their own organizations and create partnerships to find new ideas that work and share them regionally and across the United States. The Innovation Advisors Program will inspire dedicated, skilled individuals in the healthcare system to deepen several key skill sets, including: healthcare economics and finance; population health; systems analysis; and operations research. Request for Applications: ACHIEVE Mentors/Mentees
The Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE), National Association of Chronic Disease Directors (NACDD), National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO), National Recreation and Parks Association (NRPA), and YMCA of the USA (Y-USA) are pleased to announce Requests for Applications (RFAs) for ACHIEVE. The Action Communities for Health, Innovation and EnVironmental changE (ACHIEVE) Initiative is funded by the CDC and is a partnership between local communities and national organizations joined in a national movement to create healthier places to live, work, learn and play. ACHIEVE communities receive support to strengthen a coalition of community partners and develop a community action plan that addresses comprehensive chronic disease prevention through policy, systems, and environmental (PSE) change strategies. The 2012 ACHIEVE initiative will include an emphasis on peer mentoring. Selected existing communities will take on the role of mentor community and will work in partnership with the national partners to provide technical assistance to new communities. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Center for Tobacco Products (CTP) has issued a solicitation for a Total Small Business Set Aside, multiple award IDIQ contract with a five year ordering period to support CTP in planning, developing, producing, and delivering consumer-based communication programs, strategies, and materials for multiple, national, multimedia public health education campaigns targeted to at-risk and underserved populations.
