Funding Opportunity Announcement: Testing Tobacco Products Promoted to Reduce Harm
This funding opportunity announcement (FOA), issued by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), invites applications that propose multidisciplinary research on potential reduced-exposure tobacco products, both smoked and smokeless. The multidisciplinary studies can span basic, biological, behavioral, surveillance, and epidemiology research. The overarching goal of this FOA is to determine whether potential reduced-exposure tobacco products provide a truly less-harmful alternative to conventional tobacco products, both at the individual and population level. The application deadline is May 7, 2012. Click here to read more about this FOA.
