Fuisz announces formation of Fuisz Tobacco; Company to commercialize film-based smokeless tobacco products
A new tobacco company called Fuisz Tobacco will promote an innovative smokeless tobacco product that dissolves on the tongue, eliminating the need for discarding the product after use.  Consumer testing showed that smokers strongly prefer this type of smokeless tobacco to the traditional variety which is chewed and removed from the mouth after use.  Also, with the product’s thin film technology, less tobacco is needed to satisfy the user.  Citing recent public health studies, one of the company’s founders, Richard Fuisz, M.D., believes that smokeless tobacco products such as this one may help smokers transition to healthier lifestyles.  Click here for the press release.
