Priority Populations Intervention: Latino Communities
Prevention Minnesota will fund one organization to elevate tobacco prevention as a priority within the Latino community, change community norms regarding tobacco use in this population, and engage Latino partners in tobacco prevention efforts throughout the state. For more information, including how to apply, proposal instructions, and project budgeting information, click here. An intent to apply notice is required from all applicants, which should be postmarked no later than November 15, 2007, while all RFP proposals must be postmarked no later than December 13, 2007 to be considered for funding.

2008 American Legacy Foundation scholarship to increase diversity in nicotine and tobacco research
The purpose of this scholarship is to increase the diversity of researchers interested in nicotine and tobacco research. The California Tobacco-Related Disease Research Program, the American Legacy Foundation, and the Society for Research on Nicotine and Tobacco (SRNT) have partnered to provide financial assistance for a scholar to attend the 2008 SRNT Annual Meeting in Portland, Oregon. Eligible California scholars are encouraged to apply. Applications are due by December 10. Download the application here.
