3rd National Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex Health Summit
March 14-18, 2007; Phildadelphia, PA

The 2007 National LGBTI Summit “Beyond Boundaries: A Blueprint for LGBTI Healthcare Equality" will be held in Philadelphia, PA, March 14-18, 2007. Proposals/abstracts will be accepted through December 1, 2006. The 2007 National LGBTI Summit invites individuals and groups to share experiences, discoveries, best practices, and research. Creative as well as traditional formats are encouraged. Traditional formats use presentation and discussion to share lessons learned from health promotion programs, or to present new research relating to wellness and health. Creative formats offer participants experiential exercises to explore these concepts, such as song, dance, movement, and role-playing. Click here for more information.

17th Annual Art and Science of Health Promotion Conference
March 28 – 31, 2007; San Francisco, California

The 17th Annual Art and Science of Health Promotion Conference will focus on opportunities for health promotion in all sectors of society, including schools, clinics, hospitals, families, health clubs, and other parts of the community. The conference will explore how to best reach each of these sectors. Sessions will focus on effective practice skills, public policy advocacy, social entrepreneurship, and research methods. Clearing the Air: An Institute for Policy Advocacy, IV
June 2 - 5, 2007; South Lake Tahoe, CA

Come join with others in the field working to eliminate secondhand smoke exposure. Hear the news from the front line campaigns; get the latest research, legal information, and tools for educating the hospitality and gaming industries; help to plan the national strategy to clear the air for good. The registration fee, which includes all conference activities, 9 meals, snacks, and lodging is $565. Transportation is not included. Member discount and limited scholarships available.
