American Legacy Foundation Announces Health Communications Scholarship
The American Legacy Foundation is proud to announce a scholarship fund in honor of its board member Alma S. Adams, Ph.D., as an expression of gratitude for her six years of dedicated service and leadership. The Alma Adams Scholarship for Outreach and Health Communications to Reduce Tobacco use among Priority Populations will award a total of $10,000 annually for up to two candidates to pursue undergraduate or graduate studies at an accredited institution of higher education in the United States.
 
Awards will be granted on a competitive basis for the best use of the visual arts or media to convey culturally appropriate health messages aimed at raising community awareness of tobacco’s harmful impact and countering tobacco use by disadvantaged populations, including racial/ethnic minorities.
