American Legacy Foundation offers Small Innovative
Grants
The deadline to submit a letter of intent to the American
Legacy Foundation Small Innovative Grants Program is February

CDC offers grants for programs that influence youth
behaviors
CDC will award a total of $8 million to build the capacity
of groups that wield influence over youth behaviors, including
tobacco use. Applications are due January 9, 2006. Click for

NACCHO releases Foundation Funding Guide
NACCHO is working with the Foundation Center to identify funding
resources at the national and state level from private foundations.
Each month, the guide will focus on one area of public health.
In December, the guide features foundations that have listed
“Chronic Disease” as a focus area. Click to view

2006 Youth Advocates of the Year Awards
Sponsored by the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, this award
honors the work of young advocates who have taken the lead
in holding the tobacco industry accountable for their efforts
