Survey questions to
gauge public support of price increases – 12/6/05
Q: Do you know of any source of potential
questions that we can review to ask on our ATS to determine
the public's support for increasing the cost of tobacco products
to help reduce smoking (youth or in general). We want to see
if there are other survey questions besides those in the CDC
question bank.
A:

Possible responses for all questions below
are:

firm to assess support. I don't have the questions but could
direct the person requesting accordingly. Contact Karen
DeLeeuw.

Tobacco Free Kids has questions that they use for polling
the public on level of support for increasing taxes.
- West Virginia: Campaign for Tobacco-Free
Kids often does opinion polls of registered voters and they
have standard language on their surveys. Contact CTFK and
talk to Danny McGoldrick, (202)296-5469, ext 3009.
