    State of CA Dept. of Health Services-Tobacco Control Section (CDHS/TCS) currently operates a statewide workgroup composed of seven priority populations, which includes low SES & LGBT. Projects are being funded for three years (2004-2007) to work with our 62 local county health depts. and competitive grantees throughout the state. The purpose of these funded projects is to support CDHS/TCS and its funded projects through priority population-specific tobacco control services. The priority populations; 1)provide technical assistance & training to local programs; 2)develop and implement an advocacy campaign that has significance statewide;and 3)provide support to CDHS/TCS regarding issues related to priority population specific issues.
