Web-based contract management and evaluation systems – 9/17/10
Q: The California Tobacco Control Program is in the assessment phase to upgrade its online tobacco information system used in the management and evaluation of its state and community contracts. They would like to identify other state tobacco control programs that use a Web-based reporting system and who are willing to share access or information about their Web-based reporting system to California as we plan the upgrade to our system. Please provide:
- Name and contact information for the state contact person for the system
- System vendor
- Contact information for an individual who could provide short-term access to the system
A:
- Alabama: The Alabama Department of Public Health does not have an online information system used to manage and evaluate contracts.
- Nebraska: The Tobacco Free Nebraska Program’s web-based reporting system vendor is Florida State University, Center for Information Management and Educational Services (CIMES).
- United Way of Central Alabama: The system vendor is Sharepoint. The Sharepoint system is used for fiscal management and document storage for program management.
Editor’s note: Additional information and contacts for each of these web-based systems are available. Please email the TCN for more details.
