Sample RFP for technical assistance and training for community-based grant programs – 1/4/07
Q: I have a request for proposal that I am editing that is for TA and training for tobacco prevention and control grantees implementing community based grants programs. Have you seen these types of proposals issued by other States? If so, would have a sample writings of same?
A:
- Alabama: Alabama has not used the RFP process for TA and Training for community-based grant programs. We do, however, have an RFA posted on our Web site that we use to identify community based grantees to conduct tobacco control programs in general. Please go to www.adph.org/tobacco and click on the section labeled "Policy RFA."
- Arkansas: Please click to view State of Arkansas Department of Health Request for Proposals (RFP).
- California: California has released several RFAs for training and technical assistance on many different topics. Click to view the archives of all of our procurement releases.
The following documents will probably be most helpful:
- Statewide Secondhand Smoke and Youth/Youth Adult Training, Technical Assistance, and Advocacy RFA 05-100 [February 15, 2005; 112 pages, pdf]
- Legal and Policy Technical Assistance and Training RFA #TCS 04-101 [March 5, 2004; 93 pages, pdf]
- California Partnerships for Priority Populations RFA #TCS 04-100 [February 6, 2004; 105 pages, pdf]
- New Jersey: New Jersey published an RFP for this fiscal year. It was posted in the spring of 2006. It includes a request for youth programming, community programming and training. Please click to find the PDF document.
- Oklahoma: Oklahoma has a contract for training services with the National Conference Logistics Center in Norman, Oklahoma. NCLC provides mostly conference logistics, but the contract allows for a full-service approach. Our contract is not an RFP as we contracted directly with another government agency and did not have to go through a bid process.
