DESCRIPTION:MD Anderson is one of 27 sites accredited by the Council for To
 bacco Treatment Training Programs (CTTTP) to provide a five-day class for 
 individuals interested in becoming credentialed as a Tobacco Treatment Spe
 cialist (TTS). The program offers the highest quality tobacco treatment tr
 aining\, based on the most up to date evidence in tobacco cessation resear
 ch and treatment strategies.\nObjectives\nAt the conclusion of this activi
 ty\, learners will be able to:\n\n 	Implement best practice patient screen
 ing and care procedures.\n 	Demonstrate understanding of best practices an
 d complications related to tobacco treatment.\n 	Identify multiple treatme
 nt plans\, techniques and available resources to offer as patient care.\n 
 	Provide patient education on new and emerging tobacco products.\n 	Evalua
 te the effectiveness of the treatment being offered.\n\nTarget Audience\nS
